Are You There, Readers? It's Me, Lady C

I have a favor to ask: Will you please leave a comment for me right now? Particularly if you are someone who knows me, either in "real life" or online through Maud-L.

(If you are a total stranger just passing through, don't worry about it — but if you are a total stranger who reads my blog regularly, it would be nice for you to do this for me.)

If you find the Comment feature cumbersome, can you text me or send an e-mail?

Here's why I'm asking: I don't tell many people about my blog, but it is public; anyone could find it or share the URL. My posts get an average of 100 views on a regular basis, and I can only think of 15 regular readers (meaning, people who leave occasional comments or mention my blog to me in an e-mail). I don't think the 100 views = 100 regular readers, but I do think there are probably more than 15.

You know that bloggers like to get comments, right? I hope this isn't news. And I understand there are lots of reasons that people don't comment regularly — which is fine. But today I would like to know who's "out there," and I think this is a reasonable request, particularly of people who know me.

Thank you. I really appreciate this.

More to come, very soon! Reports of my glorious two weeks in the Pacific Northwest! The thrilling conclusion of the Whole Life Challenge, Round 2! Pictures of my yard! OK, that third one may not be exciting to you, but I am very happy.

Looking forward to reading dozens and dozens of comments!!

xox

    1. Hello, old friend!! Thanks for doing this. Please give Ann a huge hug from me!

Hey, we should chat sometime - grown-up life is turning out to be fairly complicated for my eldest, and I wonder how things are going for yours. I'll be in touch!

    2. Yes, grown-up life is, as you say, complicated. More so for some than for others. Would love to compare notes over a tipple or two sometime. Don't know when we'll ever get back to MA (did I ever tell you we lived on the Cape for a couple of years back in the previous century?), but if you are ever down DC/Baltimore area do let us know.
BTW, I usually read your blog via my RSS feed, so I may not pop up on your count very often. Just to carry your numbers in the wrong direction :)

  5. I confess to reading and rereading your blog posts, don't know why. I wonder if rereads add to your total, not that 100 people shouldn't be reading it. I think I've mentioned to you that I rarely comment due to the complexities of doing via iPad...for this, I dragged out the computer. If it helps, I talk to you in my head a lot...do you hear me? J.

    1. Thanks, doll - I knew that Commenting was a pain for you, and I appreciate this. I love that you reread my posts! Maybe you're 80 of my readers, who knows. I talk to you in my head as well - maybe we're psychically communicating? xox

  6. I am here! And I know how much comments mean to a blogger, and how rare they sometimes are. I enjoy your writing and how you share your life, and I can keep up with stuff you're doing, since I can't see what you're up to on Facebook (wide eyes staring: "friend me friend me friend me..."). :-)

Honestly, I read your lists of all you do in a day and I get tired-- you are a powerhouse! I hope some of that can rub off on me.

Looking forward to hearing more about your doings!

    1. You hypnotized me! We are now officially friends. (And you will soon see that I'm up to very little on Facebook.) :-)

  7. I'm here! I usually read on work breaks. I will admit that the book background interferes with reading it on my iPhone. But I LOVE this blog!!
And I find the comment section easy to use.
